The greatest lie of all time is lying to yourself. When you think that you know it all, my friend, you know nothing, for nothing is against your will but only one person which is you. The book of Luke 1:37 makes us understand that “For with God, nothing shall be impossible. You will know the truth, as the result of the truth you know, this truth will set you free from every bondage.
I know myself, I can do this, I can do that with only my mouth without action(s) backing your words, that’s one of the greatest lies. Meanwhile it is very good to plan, but the bad aspect of it is plan without execution, for the Bible makes us understand that prayer without work is dead, another book told us that we need to work and pray, that is, we can only put our plans to work with prayer backing it up.
The most dangerous thing we failed to understand is that there’s no room for laziness, Christ has paid the price for us all in the book of 1 Peter 2:24. All we need to do is to be conformed by Him because He owns the key of our dear life, He can Do and Undo, He’s our creator, He’s our provider, for no man received anything except it being given from above. That I’m alive today is not by my making likewise you, that mean God is not done with you and I, He still want us to fulfill that precious purpose on earth, He says in the book of Jeremiah 29:11 that “for I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end”. God is in action over your life, He wants you to come to Him so that He will receive you and make you His own forever.
Many so-called Christians by name are scared of what they are standing to gain if they wholly follow Christ. This is one of the challenges facing the body of Christ, but forgotten that Christ has paid it all on the cross of Calvary. What is my Hope as a Christ Follower? This is a question asked by a brother in one of our Assembly. Ever since that day, I used to have a deep thought on that question in my quiet time. That I wholly follow Christ, what is my stand to gain? However, if you’ve not been convinced by Christ Himself you will be left unconscious and the Devil may rubbish you just like that. We are not condemned and we don’t have to condemn any one because Romans 8:1 says “there is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit”. If we don’t walk with the spirit of the living God, we’ll always condemn ourselves and others.
With the little knowledge given to me, I gave little answers to this question, that is, what is my hope as a Christ follower? Dear friend, your time is now, put in your best for every gift of you is special and very unique, you are wonderfully and previously made, you’re for good, you’re the image of the living God, no one have the power to stop your progress because He that is living in you is greater than the whole world, you’re moving in the realm of grace and power, the sky is just our starting point and the best is yet to come. He that keeps Israel neither sleep nor slumber, He’s making ways for you, you’re going higher and higher, you’re reaching for the star this year and victory is yours forever.
